MICHAEL JONES

Hailed as “superb” (Gramophone), Michael Jones is a Los Angeles-based SAG-AFTRA tenor acclaimed for his artistry and versatility across repertoire spanning the Baroque to contemporary works. Praised for his expressive sound that “blended gorgeously” (South Florida Classical Review), he appears regularly as a “Robust Tenor” (San Diego Story) soloist and ensemble artist with leading organizations in the U.S. and abroad. In the 2026–2027 season, Jones makes solo debuts with LA Master Chorale for their “Sing-a-Long Messiah,” Cantata Collective. Jones also sings regularly with The Crossing, Santa Fe Desert Chorale, Variant 6, Conspirare, Tessarae Baroque, Seraphic Fire, Bach Collegium San Diego, Catalyst Ensemble, Alium Spiritum and Spire Chamber Ensemble. Recent highlights include solo appearances with Philharmonia Baroque, the Philadelphia Orchestra, Tesserae Baroque and Choral Arts Philadelphia. He has appeared on more than thirty acclaimed recordings, including three GRAMMY Award–winning albums with The Crossing, one GRAMMY Award-winning album with Los Angeles Master Chorale, and has recorded with labels such as Delos, Parma, Albany, and GIA.
